Judy Stephens, owner and manager of the farm, has a background in health and
physical education.  She has a lifetime background with horses, including showing,
hunting, training, and teaching.  Before opening Timber Edge Farm, she was
employed at Bucks County Community College, teaching riding, swimming, and
coaching their intercollegiate riding team.  Since the inception of the farm in 1971,
she conducted a riding program for Beaver College, coaching their riding team for
about 25 years.  She also worked as a recorded horse show judge with the AHSA
(USEF now) for several years, licensed in hunters, jumpers, and equitation.

Terry Stephens, Judy's daughter, is our professional in-house rider, and trainer.
Terry has a very extensive showing background, having worked with such greats as
George Morris, Chris Kappler, Frank Madden, Kevin Babington, and Louise Serio, as
well as Timber Edge.  As a junior, among her accolades were the IHSA National
Championship, 3rd in the USEF Medal Finals, a gold medal in USET equitation,
member of the Zone 2 team at NAYRC and Prix de States as well as blue ribbons at
Devon and Washington.  More recently, Terry has been excelling in the Hunter ring
with much success in the hunter derbies. Terry is also available to train and/or show
horses that are not stabled at Timber Edge.  She can be contacted individually for
that service at

Emily Miller joined the Timber Edge staff as an instructor.  She taught at Sweet Briar
College and more recently she taught at Delaware Valley College, where she was
their Assistant Riding Coach for their IHSA Team.  She has a passion for teaching
which is evident when you see her teach.
